Zoa's
Another question for you guys. I picked these up about a week or so ago. Not sure EXACTLY what they are but they were purple-ish colored when I got them. Don't seem to be anything too fancy but since my other zoa's seem to be doing well I picked these up. Some sort of purple zoa(outer edge is dark purple, inside is just a light purple) and they have already closed up. I had a few frag pieces a while back that were like these and they also died. I did the usual tests today and EVERYTHING checked out well except salinity(which may be due to my damn hydrometer, it's the cheapo version) but it read .030. The other issue I can think may have an effect is my lighting. I left it on the other day and the tank was ridiculously hot(86F) but everything else seems to be doing fine. Sorry for the vague post, it's late lol, so if any other info is needed I'll provide with what I can. Pic for reference, they're the ones in the middle:

1.030 is a bit to high of a salinity, you should slowly drop it down to 1.025. Like .001-.002 per week usually just adding more FW than SW at waterchanges will do the trick. Getting a 2nd hydrometer or even better a refractometer would verify the true SG of the tank. If 2 different hydrometers are reading the 1.030 chances are it is correct. Also that is a very high temperature for a marine tank, not sure of your lighting situation but keeping a small reef open top in the summer can really help lower the temperature as well as positioning a fan on the tank. Drawbacks to this is that you will need to do daily top offs to make up for evaporation.
Your pics are not loading, atleast not for me. But either way its not that uncommon for zoas to close in response to conditions not to their liking(temp and high SG) also it sometimes takes them awhile to open again once moved. They sometimes also just close for no real apparent reason and open again the next day.150G SA Cichlids|100G Planted Community|50G Reef|20G Tanganyikan|10G Divided Bettas|10G Nano Fish

My first thought was the temperature. My second thought was the light. If you have good quality lighting but the LFS the coral came from did not, the zoos may be getting a sun burn. Try putting them in a spot with less intense light, like at the bottom of the tank or under a ledge. You can then slowly move them to where their permanent home will be.

I have a bunch of zoas( pink ones orange ones 2 different greens big ones and small ones. The 2nd pic you have up there with the green ones i have those or atleast similar. my tank isnt that old but the zooas seem to be doing wonderful. My temprature in the tank is about 76- 78 all the time. For my lighting i have a 10,000k 18 watt and a actinic 18 watt, lights are on for about 10.5 hours a day(Had to decrease time due to the algea was growing faster then it should have). And the sg is about 1.024- 1.026. Im not an expert but so far they seem to like the conditions they are in. I purchased a rock of zoas about 2 weeks ago that had 2-3 different colors on there and they are doing great. Some were closed up for a while but all emerged to show there beautiful little faces
