Best Way to Submerge food ?
I just got a catfish today and was wondering what would be the best way to submerge like cucumbers and other lettuce type food for him to eat without putting anything in the tank that can mess with the water ?

Stick a spoon into it and let it sink, remove the spoon after. For lettuce just sit the spoon or a rock on it.
You can boil the harder veggies and this will make them sink sometimes, but it also removes nutrients.

I use a fork for cucumber and zucchini.Just fork it so the tines are pointing down.
Be careful boiling it because if its too soft it will fall apart fast and cloud the tank.I feed it raw.
You can also buy veggie clips. Some are heavy enough to sink down.Ray

For my ottos and plecos, I just stick part of the veggie in the substrate and that works (not sure if it would work with sand). Really anthing that you can stick it under should hold it in the tank though.

You can get these or get some heavy clips so they sink.

A small desert fork works great! lol
Thats not a pleco.
They will not eat veggies like a pleco does.
They do need some vegetable based foods, flake and tablets, frozen, live.Ray
