  1. Default What do you Think ?

Here is a vid of my tank.... just before i added another yellow lab and the synodontis catfish.
Do you guys think i can leave my setup the way it is in the future when they get a little bigger ? im not talking about the cichlids they will do fine in this set up when mature rite ? well im talking about my catfish. do you think i will have to do a bit rearranging ? i just want to know so i wont grow to love this set up as i do right now , took me awhile to get it how i like and took me alot of wasting money on other ornaments not used . So What do you think??

PS you dont have to watch the whole 5 min vid lol atleast just watch till the side angles to see how much swim space is in the tank, and my catfish as of now loves the pipes i have in there and is going in and out from one to another . VID WITH THE CATFISH COMING LATER TONIGHT .

You got plenty of room... though I didn't see the catfish. Cichlids can be "over stocked" to redistribute the aggression. You won't, however, see the aggression until they're adults.

But ya, IMO you have plenty of room. Here's my tank (125g) and I have FAR more fish than you per gallon.

    Yup, I got fish!

That tank is looking AWESOME Mith!!!

I'd guess closer to 70. There are Calvus in the rocks that don't come out as much unless it's feeding time. You're absolutely fine with your tank's stocking and can do MANY more when you decide.

    Where's the catfish?

Ok, now I see him. As far as I am aware, catfish feed at night. I also know that my Mbuna are less active at night (except when they're fighting... LOL). SO I would say that throwing in the wafer would be more effective at night when the Cichlids are less active.

I'm probably one of the less knowledgable people on this forum, but I have kept catfish before (channels) and know they like meat. If you have a fish in your tank that eats meat, it's not all that hard to put a piece in front of his face so he can eat it. If your catfish is one that also likes to eat meat, wave a piece of fish in front of his face and he'll learn to eat it.

It's inconvenient, but it will work as far as keeping him fat and happy!

i would try mith's suggestion feeding the catfish at night but you gotta be careful if your mbuna eat meat or bloodworms they will get bloat and die with the exception of like bumblebee cichlids they can eat meat

nvm tht then lol. yea imma do that insted . beccause what i tried to do was feed them flakes on one side and feed him wafers on the other side and my mbuna forgot they had food and went after his food.
