my parents have two crayfish in our downstairs 55gal tank. due to my clown knife fish recently dying i was thinking about getting a couple for my 10 gal in my room, the only fish in there now is a 3 inch algae eater. do you think they would be okay in the tank together? i worry that the crayfish might go after my algae eater

Two crayfish wouldn't work in a 10gal in the long run... personally i think its two small for 1... i kept a crayfish in a 10gal and it just grew to large for the tank His cave was pretty much the tank!! I upgraded it to a 20gal and it was perfect.. Maybe get 1 and eventually upgrade the tank when u feel its outgrown it.

What algae eater is it..? pleco.

Ah Chinese algae eater.... These guys get pretty aggressive as they get bigger, might be ok with crayfish, they are tough fish.

Just bare in mind if u decide not to get crayfish you have to be careful which fish u add with a CAE.. Mine terrorized a few fish in a 211gal.. i eventually rehomed him, he was 5.5 inch. Even if u upgrade to 20gal ur gonna have problems.. they aren't really suitable for small tanks.
