10 gallon project
I've recently started a 10 gallon project. I made a cement background with some caves and whatnot, and when it's done it'll be lightly planted with a few peices of driftwood. As of now it looks like this (I'm waiting to see if the pH drops with a small piece in a cup before I fill it, it's gone from 8.6 to 7.6 in 2 days and 4 waterchanges so I think it should be normal soon.)
(sloppy look was on purpose but doesn't look as nice as I'd hoped)

Here's what I need help with. I'm worried about the deminished footprint as far as stocking goes. I want to stock it with a M:F pair or M:F:F trio, but I'm not sure what to stock it with. I don't want schooling fish and I already have scarlet badis set-ups and dwarf puffers so I don't want more of them. My original plan was peacock gudgeons, but now I'm not so sure due to the space the background takes up. So basically I'm looking for any stocking suggestions. Any help/ideas are welcome.
Thanks

Peacock gudgeons would be ok in that tank still I would think. I have a group of 4 in my 15. Make sure you don't have 2 males in the tank though as they would definitely fight. My 2 males get into arguments when it comes to breeding since with them only one male breeds with both females.

Thats what I wanted to hear
(a little reassurance) but I'm still open to other ideas.
Do you happen to keep shrimp with yours? I know it's a toss up with any fish (individuals always different) but I'm thinking given a chance they may be shrimp eaters. Never had them before and haven't heard anything about how they generally do with shrimp.

I had mine with shrimp for a little over a month before I did a switch around with my tanks. They didn't seem to be bothered by each other, though I'm not sure how they would do with the babies. Are you going to add plants to the tank?

Sorry I can't comment on the stocking of your tank
I just wanted to say that I really like the look of your tankIf you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

Thanks Cliff
and I plan on having some plants but nothing too fancy. Anything thats doesn't need a lot of light or CO2 is fair game but I haven't really decided what plants I'll add yet.

I would get some java moss, or any moss species really, so that the shrimp fry have somewhere to hide. It will also give the gudgeon fry somewhere to snack as well if you get any.

Ya I've been looking at some different mosses, I'm thinking probably just java ferns, some moss (undecided on what) and maybe a couple others. Nothing fancy but enough to look nice. Hopefully the pH drops soon or I find a good way to seal the cement.
