What one fish would you keep in a 33g?
Hi Guys,
I've just acquired a new 33g. I only really wanna keep 1 maybe 2 fish in it, rather than a community. What fish would you suggest?
Thanks

I'd get a red tailed shark. I really want one, I think they're quite pretty, but every thing I've read is that their temperament starts out iffy and goes downhill as they get older.
300 gallon mega tank: build in progress
75 gallon community tank: tetras, danios, corys, platies, otos, pearl gouramis, bristlenose pleco, assassin snails, red cherry shrimp, bamboo shrimp
70 gallon growout tank: clown loaches, sailfin pleco
60 gallon goldfish tank: fancy goldfish
29 gallon frog tank: 1 bullfrog
10 gallon and 5.5 gallon betta tanks: 1 male betta each, sometimes snails

I agree with the convicts or firemouths.. or maybe a pair of dwarf cichlids with some tetras. As for a single fish, maybe a severum.. though 30 gallons is considered absolute minimum. You would need to have good filtration on it.

Agree with the convicts or firemouths but then you'd have the problem of all the off spring. You could do one angel and perhaps a school of tetra's.

A blood parrot! No breeding issues to be concerned with there.

ps:i've toyed with putting a single BP in my 29 for my office too, with a similar arrangement
