3g Empty Tank
My betta just passed on, and so now I'm left with an empty 3g tank. It has a few ghost shrimp (5 or so), java moss and some crypts. I'm not going to be getting anything too soon, but I'm not sure if I'm going to get another betta, or if I want to get another fish, if there is something I can keep in a 3g.

There's not much besides a betta that can be kept in a three gallon. Off the top of my head, a pea puffer. I have two in a 5.5.

I was actually considering a dwarf puffer before I settled on a betta. Not sure where I get one, since there aren't many fish shops around here to get quality fish of that sort.
I've never had much interest in frogs, and I think my tank is much too tall for them to be comfortable. It's a bit more of a cube design.10g Community planted [java fern, anubias nana, crypts, vals]; male HMP betta [Carcharias], lophiobagrus catfish, blood-fin tetras, ember tetras

LOL... "Petunias"...
You dead set against getting another Beta? They're sooo pretty! How long did you have the one that passed?
Those little puffers are cool! IF they're the ones that I'm thinking of... they nip at fins... so probably keep him by himself.... IF that's the one I'm thinking about.
How about some type of newt or water dog??Yup, I got fish!

I'm not dead set against it, but they're so expensive to get quality ones, and I don't trust the Petsmart right here anymore since this one seemed to have died of old age when he was only one. I had him for about 6-7 months, and he was full grown when I got him, so who knows how old he was.
If I go with the puffer I'd of course keep him alone, since there's no way I'd put more than one fish in a 3g.
And I haven't even thought about non-fish possibilities other than the frog. I'll look into those things.10g Community planted [java fern, anubias nana, crypts, vals]; male HMP betta [Carcharias], lophiobagrus catfish, blood-fin tetras, ember tetras
