    Merry Christmas - Algenco

Default Bristlenose pleco chasing cories around

I don't really think this is a problem, but I do notice when my cories are near the pleco, he chases them off. It makes sense when they go after a wafer he is eating, but sometimes he seems to go out of his way to chase them off. They don't seem to care though, they come right back near him! I just find it odd that sometimes shrimp are right next to him, or are eating from the wafer, or even land on him and he doesnt even chase them off.

He could be recognizing the corydoras as a possible competitor for food or territory, as they are a catfish as well. Most fish that don't eat crustaceans I notice don't pay attention to invertebrates, even if they're right on the fish's head.

So long as the cories aren't getting hurt don't worry about it.
    A severe lack of trichogaster.

Just because your Gourami is sick does not mean it is always Iridovirus, DGIV, Gourami Disease, et cetera.
Look at all the other factors in your tank before coming to this conclusion.
