Help with CO2
I am thinking about puting together my own CO2 system. Did a qiuck search on ebay and all the parts, regulator, needle valve and a bubble counter I can get for around $70. Does this sound good. I think I may hold off on a solenoid for now. What size would be a good size tank for the CO2? My tank is 55 gallons, moderate to heavily planted. Also where are some good places to look for co2 tanks and parts? Would Lowes carry them? What other kinds of stores?

You should go for the solenoid, you need a way to regulate the CO2 for lights off. Check your local yellowpages for welder/welding supplies. You can get a tank and get it filled from them. Size of the tank will change how long you can go before fillings and the initial/refill cost but whatever's good for you. 10lb - 25lb would last quite a while.
