  1. Default Eclipse Canopy Filter system

I just picked up my first tank since childhood on Craigslist. It uses an Eclipse Canopy, with the filter in the canopy. I load cartridges. The trouble is, none of the stores I have spoken to so far are carrying the cartridges anymore.

The tank was purchased by the previous owner 6 months ago at Big Al's. That recently, it makes me think that I can still get the cartridges somewhere.

Online seems to indicate the cartridges are available at Big Al's in the States. I am in Canada.

Why is the Eclipse canopy system unpopular/unknown?

  2. Cool Wow!!

I would order on-line or if you have a LFS see if they can stock them.
    Try Amazon.com....

I own two older Eclipse canopies and have no issue finding filters - though I currently used the frame from one and made my own sponge filter - don't need the carbon.....
