  1. Default Electric Blue Cichlid 55 mbuna

I really want one of these guys. I would put him in my 55 mbuna tank.

I've read that that they need a 75 most places but a couple said a 55 was fine. I know you shouldn't mix haps with mbuna but maybe it could work out?

If you get them when they're still juvenile or small you can have at least some time with them. I bought 2 livingstonii's for my 55 prior to knowing that they get to be like 10 inches long. They are still really small though so I have at least a year until I have to worry about relocating them. They are also hap's too and get along just fine with the Mbuna I have in the tank.

I recently added 3 electric blues (I originally thought they wwere cobalt blues......if they even exist lol) to my cichlid tank. They're doing great!

I wouldn't add the ahli to a mbuna tank, especially if you have more aggressive species of mbuna in there. The mbuna are likely to beat the crap out of the haps. And the ahlis will get too big for a 55g. Why not get cobalt blue zebras instead if you're looking for blue coloration?
