New Project
Well I got a new (to me) tank today. I've has 10 and 20 gallon tanks in the past. I found this one on Craigslist for $40. It was advertised as a 40-50 gallon. It is a unique size, I do not find it on the standard sizes list, 36X12X24 volume calculator says appx 45 gallon). For the price, it seem a good deal. Plus, the seller included tons of extras, most still in packaging!
In about a month the hubby thinks he will have the custom stand I want built completed. In the mean time, I'm going to be looking and planning the my design and the fish to keep. I'm thinking a peaceful community tank.
The light that came with it seem a little small. I'm thinking a light for a breeder tank should work. Any suggestions?

That sounds like a good size tank. Are you going to plant it? What fish are you thinking about?

Cherry barbs are neat. I was debating between them and black ruby barbs. The ruby barbs won and I love them. My alpha male is so beautiful. His head is a reddish purple and his body is velvety black. But if I had room(or set up another tank
) I would probably do a school of mixed cherries and albino cherries.
