22 days since my big move
There are 131 apartments here and I think I am probably one of about five residents that walk upright. I believe the name of this place should be called "Walkerville". I've never seen so many walkers in my life! Ya know how when your neighbor has a new car you wish you had one? I see people in the laundry rooms ripping around the place, folding clothes and lugging baskets and 15 minutes later here they come with their walker.

Each apartment has emergency pull chains. Some old gal pulled the chain that set off alarms 3 times last night. By the 3rd time I was ready to sneak into her apartment and put a pillow over her face.
We had a fire drill the other morning at 7 AM. Nothing like jumping into your clothes, boots and coats to run down 5 floors of stairs and run out into 9 degree weather........to practice! I have never seen so many old ladies in curlers at one time. I didn't know they still made curlers!
Little dogs are allowed and a lot of residents here have them. They carry their wee dogs in their coats to the dog walking area about 100 times a day, stand in one spot allowing the dog to do it's thing on the end of it's 5 ft leash. I think what a happy dog that must be that he actually got 5 ft to run around. I have changed my mind about having one here.
My apartment overlooks the parking lot so I get to sit on my deck and take in the sights of those trying to back up into their parking space. What a chore that one is! This is a good 20 minute process because for some reason they back in then pull forward over and over again until I want to scream......PARK THE STUPID CAR!
Why do 90 year olds think they need to back into a parking spot when they could just drive in frontwards? I believe it's a challenge to them to actually see if they can do this one more time without totalling the car parked next to them.
Unlike my last apartment where I was in total seclusion, I now have a constant circus going on whenever I leave my apartment. Walker parades, people falling down, ambulances arriving, alarms going off......

What a mess you are into Hobbs!
In that age shouldn't you be in a faraway farm sitting on your chair outside enjoying the view?

It could be worse LH it could be a whole bunch of young wipper snappers listening to their rap crap with the bass turned way up hanging around the parking lot with their pants down around mid thigh showing off their lastest underwear purchase lol.

^^ Yeah and this is the same guy that was complaining about it being to hot in paradise the other day. The water was probably not more than a couple hundred feet away.
