That's so wonderful you rescued her. It sounds like you are going to give her a very good home! What a lucky snake! If you don't mind me asking, how did you find out about her situation?

Thanks! She has already eaten again for us. As long as she acts hungry i'm going to continue feeding her. We weighed her and she was about 20-30% underweight. That's kind of sick! We found her after the owner stuck her on craigslist. It wasn't considered a rescue until I arrived and saw her. Right now she is coiled up over her heat..happy as can be. Alomost looks like she's smiling!

    Thanks for the comments everyone!

If your Ball Python is anywhere near the size of her and only eating mice...there is a big problem. How much does your snake weigh? A prey item should either weigh 10-15% of the snakes total body weight or be as wide as the snakes widest point. This girl ate two near adult rats in two days and barely developed a bulge in her gut! This snake is alot bigger than the pictures show.

i feed it rats sometimes, but i usually feed 4 to 5 mice if rats arent available. sorry if it seemed like i only gave it a couple mice. also i usually feed each week, i know some people feed every other week. but mine is healthy and sheds properly so i know im doing something right.
