330 gal with 125 lbs of live rock - Stocking Help
Recently my school received a donation of a 330 gal custom aquarium. It is 48" x 48" x 30" tall. I'm replacing the pump and it will be able to cycle the tank 10x per hour and there is another small pump with a 57 watt UV.
There is 125lbs of cured live rock and 3" of crushed shell substrate.
There was a very nice selection of fish that came with the tank but the aquarium maintenance guy who was storing them for us had a power outage and they all were lost Now we are going to have to go through the process of stocking it.
Someone has donated to us a Koran Angel. I'm looking for recommendations of other fish to add. Some of the varieties I've been looking at are as follows:
Royal Gramma Basslet
Another thing is I want to be able to feed with an automatic feeder and something like the instant ocean pellets.
Thanks for your help!

I dont think 10x circulation per hour is gonna be enough for a tank of that size, I have a 75 gallon tank and have almost that much circulation for it. Maybe someone with a bigger tank can give you better recommendations.

To be honest with you, if you plan on stocking the tank decently your going to really need to bump up the amount of live rock to at least 300 lbs. With the amount of live rock currently in it your going to be limited to only a few fish.

catalina gobies are cold water fish.
mandarins do not eat prepared foods.
I agree with the other comments you have received. You will need more rock and more flow.40g SW

Definetly at least 300lbs LR, and avoid the gobies like the coach said. Mandarins are only for well established aquariums, and are exceptionally picky. If you do the suggested above, with the size of that tank, you could stock a lionfish or puffer. Just guessing here, but it seems like you ike the flashy fish, so what about a Picasso trigger. Although with these fish, you'd have to scrap the aboce ideas. How much maintenece are you able (and willing) to provide? Because with the lion, live food is needed. Another idea would be a butterfly or foxface. Whatever, just some of my personal ideas/desires.240g Silver Arowana, TSN
