  1. Default Red Eared Slider Turtle needs home- NYC area

    Posting for a friend-

My friend has a male Red Eared Slider that needs a new home. She had two turtles, and one passed away. She purchased the turtle in question to be a new companion for her remaining turtle, and new turtle is too aggressive and she ended up having to separate them.

The store at which my friend purchased the new turtle has a policy by which they will take the turtle back- but they are not honoring it. She has had no luck returning the turtle to them, so she is looking for a new home for him.

She would like to see him go to a good home, experienced in turtle care. He comes w the warning that he has been aggressive towards another male turtle, and is currently kept in his own tank. He might be ok toward a female, but she does warn against housing him w another turtle due to her current experience w him.

He is located in Staten Island, NY.

You can PM me for her contact information.

    Thanks!

I have seen him- he isn't huge- maybe the size of a medium dinner plate? I can ask her to take pics and send them to me so I can post them here.

I don't think she wants to ship him, but I can ask.

She just sent me some pics to post- his name is Homer.

I will add that he is non-aggressive towards people and easy to handle and feed. He just really doesn't like their other turtle.

    Thanks for looking!
