Is this a good asking price for this setup?
So i am moving to a condo and I need to sell my aquarium, sadly. After all the time and money and love put into this thing i have to part. Im not even sure how much I have spent on it (well over 700 dollars) so I was wondering if this was a decent asking price for everything you get:

I asked for a little more then I normally would be on CList, they usually offer a lot less. So I figure I ask for me, I will end up getting what I really want or at least a ballpark.

Its a wee bit on the high side for a 29 but I will haggle over it.I would pay 300 if I had it.
If someone is looking for exactly that set up its a great deal and it will save them money and a ton of effort!Ray

Too much and I would flip right over that ad if I saw it was a 29 gallon for that price. We all have far more into our tanks than we ever realize back out of them.
CA also has millions of places to shop for fish life and tanks, etc. If you lived where obtaining them was more difficult, you could get more.Cycling With Fish?•• The Fishless Cycle••

IMO it's reasonable for SW...you can't get close to paying that if you buy new...
I've found though...that most SW enthusiasts end up having to parcel out individual items in the end...hard to find a buyer for a complete unit. Most beginners look forward to putting a tank together slowly...and I can't think of why an expert would want a complete 29 gallon set-up...
But can't hurt to give it a go. However - I wouldn't advertize the aiptasia (it's like advertising head lice when you sell a hat), and I'd correct the spelling of 'rot' iron. I think you mean wrought iron. LOL...it toook me moment to figure it out...first I thought you meant the stand was rusting...55 g Goldfish Tank - 5 Fancies, 2 Dojos

IMO its a high price. For $200-300 I can buy a 100+g tank setup and build from there. The problem is the people looking for tanks don't fully understand the cost to build a saltwater setup. I started off with a 75g SW setup for $150 from craigslist. That came with hex tank, stand, sump, 2 pumps, heater, 30lbs of LR, sand, glass lid and other little things. Now, if I tried to sell my setup I would not even come close to what I have invested in it.
Sucks you have to sell your aquarium. Best of luck and if worst comes to worst you can part it out.

Well i wasnt advertising the aiptasia's, I was making sure they knew that they were there a-plenty before bothering to come out and get it. A lot of people wouldnt buy live rock if they knew it had those so I am obligated as a seller to include it in the description, thus the "WARNING".
