240G Tank!
Hi all have just obtained a 240G tank and wouldn't mind a ray, would that tank be suitable? Can I easily obtain Rays in the UK? Cheers!

What is its length and width? The ray prefers a wide tank with plenty of swim room on the bottom.something 24" or more front to back and at least 5ft wide would be a good starting point I would think.

I'm no expert on rays so I can't really offer much help, but I do believe you might have the room for one, as Smaug said.
What about a polka dot ray, though? - Someone feel free to correct me if I researched those incorrectly.A severe lack of trichogaster.
Just because your Gourami is sick does not mean it is always Iridovirus, DGIV, Gourami Disease, et cetera.
Look at all the other factors in your tank before coming to this conclusion.

here is a good article with many pics to help guid you. Some of these get very large and simply are not suited to keeping in any size tank but would need a shallow pool.

That tank would be good for a couple of rays. I'm not too sure anyone on here keeps them successfully though. Someday I will have a few.

I think everyone who has tried to do rays has not had a very good experience with them.I know we have a member that joined a couple of months ago with some real nice rays but no idea who it is.
They are difficult to keep and your tank perameters must be kept near perfect.
The best tanks have a very wide foot print.I have seen them do well in tanks 18" deep but they are 4' by at least 6'.

Teacup rays should be fine in a tank of that size.

I thought the true teacup ray wasn't exported very often or at all anymore?
