they're very cool. i would imagine you'd need a very large terrarium for them though.

I read, on a few sites, that 20 gallons will do...if the water is filtered...and you used a turtle ledge...I wonder if it really would do? For the smaller species at any rate...

I had 2 of them before.
They died of septicemia, but the time i had them was great!
After all my malawis freakishly died ( i checked on them, five minutes later they were all dead with big eyes (not popeye) and open mouths), i got the 2 mudskippers for the 20g hex.
They liked the floating turtle dock thing

...what haven't you had? lol...
I'm very tempted to give them a go...I could resurrect one of my empty 20g tanks...I'd just need a filter...er, and a ramp...and sand...lights, heater?

you dont need substrate, but just a regular light, substrate if you want, and a heater, and a floaty pad and filter and youre set

I read that the mudskippers need a temperature from 78-88 degrees. Its higher than most aquarium temperatures, and though most are calibrated for 78 degrees, you would need to buy a variably heater so you can crank it up.
Money can't buy happiness, but it sure can pay the rent.

good idea. Remember to see how much water is actually in the 20g tank, because if its half full you need a 50W heater since theres only 10g of water. Get a good heater too like a all-glass 50W. Mine can pump a 33g to 80F, leaving you more room for temperature variability
