  1. Unhappy Whats up with my Angels?

    Hey guys!
first of Wish Ya'll a Happy New Year! :)
I've been of the hobby for quite sometime now as I was Busy with college and stuff.
But anyways, the good news is That im back, and im back with 2 big Black veil Angels for my 30 g :) Got them yesterday.
Just noticed sometime back that this one guy seems to have a problem...his fins look frayed and he seems to have a little difficulty swimming i noticed And i can see a about 3-4 spots on his fins. Not really white. Should i raise the temp a lil? right now its at 26 celcius.

My other concern is that these guys aint eating! Im feeding them pellets and all they do is come right up 'sniff' it and go back. They dont like it or something? I fed them another food i got which contains 'Spirulina' . Same thing, they come sniff it and go back.

    Whats wrong?

    How were they acclimated?
Can you post pics of the spots?
I wouldn't feed them for a day or two.Let them get used to the tank and surroundings first.
When they are hungry they will start to eat.

    Thanks for the quick reply!

Tank was already cycled. Got the fishes yesterday.
    Did a 50% water change.

Frayed fins could mean it had been nipped at by others or could mean the start of fin rot. I would use some Melafix in his water for a while. They will eat when ready. Their house is still new to them.

Hope you have a mated pair as they may not get along in that sized tank if not.
