Good Start to the new year.
Hey,
Well yes I am in a great happy mood this new year.
So were to start. My new gear box which some of you will remember is now playing up again big time. And has some mega problems.
Yes I know you may think hard driving and burnout. Hell no. Can't afford any of that rubbish. Just to work and back, and simple things like that. Plus I just can't afford to lose my job right now. To good a job and boss ect.
This problem has been a long drawn out problem the whole time I owned the car, and is know by the man who fixed it, as not my fault at all.
So right on the new year day at 12.35pm the flaming power steering died. And more when going round a bend at 100kms. [A bend you can take at 100, with noraml steering.] Lucky enough there were no on coming cars, had to break an sort of well go right on the other side of the road. The power steering was fully packed up. Trying to even tow it was a pain in the preverbal, due to the fact it would hardly move.
It was like trying to shift a nyloc nut with a tiny spanner when it needs more length to give leverage.
Anyway got the tow company, which is a break down service company to sort it. And well he had a look and tinker, and could not find anything which should not let it drive with out pulling the whole system apart. Full power steering oil ect and nothing leaking or anything.
So consequently he then tried to drive it due to the fact all runs fine bare for now the steering and gear box. Any way it leaped into gear and catapulted forward in drive then settled down. No sooner was he out then he placed a sticker on the car saying it is off the road by law as unsafe.
After a long talk the chap had know idea why o n earth it was doing that, and why the power steering n early froze solid.
But for certainty not my fault for not looking after it.
Anyway it has been a great year thus far. Well the Subaru is out of the question. Back to a normal car and not thing one. Heap of junk Mitsubishi are. Plus I could not get the loan. Because I don't have enough loan history even though I have half the down payment, and a large history of bank payments ect, and good weekly wage.
Any way, that is me done.

Mac, seems you have had many ups and downs last few months, hope things start going more smoothly and consistently good for you.
No matter how much I learn or know I'm still gonna be a NOOB, but that doesn't mean I'm an idiot!

You're welcome, very much.
Since November 2008 things have been up and down for me too and medical bills piling up and up, multiple surgeries, 5 decent sized ulcers, (3 have healed completely though) a couple gallstones, 2 kidney stones, and diagnosed with low grade chronic pancreatitis. But hey, we're still alive right? We still have tanks too! I just in the last couple months saw a few of your threads with some not too cool stuff happening to you and some others. Things will get better though. Just keep it up man, things can't be bad forever. No matter how much I learn or know I'm still gonna be a NOOB, but that doesn't mean I'm an idiot!
