  1. Default What to go with these fish?

Hello. I have a 20 gallon tank and I want a school of Neon Tetras, Corys and a honey or dwarf gourami. I want another school of fish to go with the neons and bottom feeders. What would be a good fish to go with these? At first I was thinking of Cherry Barbs, but changed my mind. What are some small fish that get along with these others? ThANkS!!

I think that the neons, cories and gourami are good for a 20 and adding anything else will be overstocked. Especially another school of fish.

agree if you got a school of say 8-10 neons and 6 cory's with a dwarf gourami you would already be at the 20" of fish limit. gourami's have a bio load of more than the 2-2 1/2" they take up. kind of like the equivilant of maybe 4 neons. if you scrap the cory's and go with 2 otos you might squeak in 6 ember tetra's or sone other nano fish.

I was going with only 6 neons, not 8-10.

6 marbled hatchet fish. They take up space not used by the others and have a very small bioload.

6 neons is just barely a school and the minimum considered a school. I would get more neons and a few hatchets and forget anything else.
