Finding Killifish
Just a quick question, what are the chances of me finding killifish at my LPS or Petsmart?

slim/none, they occasionally have Golden Wonders
As I get older I find myself thinking about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Never seen them at anything other than a specialty fish store.

Check with the LPS to see if they can order some in, it's kinda the wrong season for killies though, the only 2 I see on our order lists atm are golden wonders and gardneri.
Petsmart does usually have golden wonders in, haven't seen any other types there though."Mommy, do you picture me as a naked chicken?"

Its best to check the local clubs around you, or online. Right now i am not breeding anything, but in the future I will have some type of killie.

In the last 2 cities I've lived, Flagfish are more available than any other killies. However, IME no 'big box' stores have carried them, and only the specialized or privately owned LFSs will carry them.
In one city, they sell out within 5 days of getting them, while in the city I live in now, they can't get rid of them.

I usually forget that flagfish are a killi lol, we've got about a dozen right now and I know I saw them on last weeks order list, they aren't an annual so they're easier to order in. Ask the LPS... they're the most likely place to be able to order them in at.

Flagfish are fairly common around here, but always at independant fish stores, never seen them at the big chain stores.
