I'm pretty sure it's 1 tablespoon for 5 gallons. I've never used it, but I have a friend who keeps cichlids so i pick up a bit here and there. Doesn't it say on the box? sorry, I'm not the expert on this, but no one else seems to be helping right now!

Thanks so much for your help. I read that it is to bring the PH up. I already have high ph. Did you see my pictures of my tank and my new fish?

is it the right kind of salt? You need it for Malawian cichlids, and I think there is a difference in products.

No i havent seen the pics, where are they?

They need more than just a high ph, they need several trace minerals as well such as calcium and magnesium and potassium, and all that good stuff

seachem makes it. and there is two different kinds, the one is a buffer which i think you said you dont need, the other is the salt/mineral supplement, and that goes in at a rate of 3/4 tsp for 10g (just found it)
