HELP!!!! Salt and Cichlids
How much aqaurium salt should I put in a 90 gallon tank with Peacock Cichlids??? Should I put salt in my tank????

Cichlid salt. you can buy it or use a DIY recipe.

Okay I have the salt. How much do I put in a 90 Gallon tank. I didn't know I needed it and now I have fish getting ready to get dropped in

I'm pretty sure it's 1 tablespoon for 5 gallons. I've never used it, but I have a friend who keeps cichlids so i pick up a bit here and there. Doesn't it say on the box? sorry, I'm not the expert on this, but no one else seems to be helping right now!

Thanks so much for your help. I read that it is to bring the PH up. I already have high ph. Did you see my pictures of my tank and my new fish?

is it the right kind of salt? You need it for Malawian cichlids, and I think there is a difference in products.

I will have to double check the salt but like I said it is to bring up the PH and I already have high PH

They need more than just a high ph, they need several trace minerals as well such as calcium and magnesium and potassium, and all that good stuff
