My 10g temperate water marine tank
This is the official thread
its my temperate water tidepool tank.
Im gonna set it up with anemones, kelp, and lots of inverts.
The tank looks messy with silicon because i diy'd basically the whole thing.
So far the whole thing only costed about $40. i bought only 1 pump that pumps the water into a filter inside a 2.5g refugium/propagation tank. then the water gos back to the tank with gravity. All I did was cut a slot in the glass and put like a little ramp into the main tank. Theres a lot you can do with one pump.
heres a pic of the main tank with the filter on the back, it has no life yet (except for a brown sponge thing)
insidethe refugium/filter/propagation tank.
Another pic of the main tank.

Hi...first post, lol. But your thread inspired me to de-lurk.
I've been wanting to convert my 10 g into a tidepool tank for a while now, but the potential cost of things has been holding me back...could you possibly post some instructions for your DIY setup here? I am only familiar with fw but would love to do a saltwater setup like this.

lol, well im starting a new one right now with an iceprobe chiller. Join nano reef, thats the place with all the coldwater people. The chiller is the most expensive. You would probably spend 200+ for a 10g.
