Tell Something Most Of us Don't Know About You
What's something most of us here don't know about you? Like a quirky thing, or (better yet) an embarrassing thing?
Mine is that I have an XM Radio in my car and on my way into work (1hr drive) most mornings, I spend more time listening to the Opie & Anthony Show than I do listening to FOX News. With the O & A Show, the things that almost always make me laugh the most are the things I know I shouldn't find amusing! I bet I'm just a little bit "out" of their demographic, but I can't help but listen.
What about you? What's one of your dirty little secrets or funny quirks?

I used to race stock cars and snowmobiles. Scared to death on a motorcycle going 20 miles an hour, tho.

I'm a whole lot tougher than I look.
I'm a southern girl with an opinion who speaks her mind.
For some reason, that seems to shock people.

I was a bartender for 34 years and manager about 22 years of that.
I had a guy that was completely incorrigible, wouldn't leave and was just a total pain one day way back when. After asking him for an hour to leave or shut up, I finally had enough of him. I walked up behind him, grabbed him by the belt and the collar and literally dragged him across the carpet and out the back door.
Just as I was depositing him in the parking lot, up pulls my lunch hour crowd......about 7 cars all flashing their lights, honking and cheering. (I felt sooooo stupid.) The guy returned in a couple days and his arms and face was all skinned up where I dragged him across the carpet and his glasses were broke. He gave me $100 for Christmas, apologized and told me he had quit drinking.
I had many years of BS from men that were drunk. You have to stand up or they're put you down.
I'm 5'2" and 120 pounds and he was a big man. I know! I dropped him about 5 times! It's not the location that makes you tough........it's the temper. lolololLast edited by Lady Hobbs; 11-17-2009 at 01:34 PM.

I use to listen to O&A in Boston on WAAF but they got fired for making jokes about the governor. I thought it was funny as hell. Those guys were awesome!

I've never bartended, and I've not ever taken a man down, physically, but I know how to use my mouth when needed! I'm 4ft 11...used to be 96lbs, now 106...and people know not to push me around.
My daughter got into a situation with a previous employer last year. The guy turned out to be a con artist and owed her $6000 due to pay checks that bounced. I got some info on him, and found out where he lived. After a four hour drive, I knocked on his door, and he answered. Big mistake on his part!
I told him what I was going to do, if she wasn't paid....worded in such a way that was not "threatening" in the eyes of the law. She got the money owing, within a week. He owes as much as $60,000 to his previous business partner, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. I continue to send warning emails to other people getting involved with this guy...and he's been quoted as telling these people I'm a "nut job". I get extreme satisfaction from preventing him from getting where he wants to go!!!

Good for you!
I'm currently embarassing my family by complaining about hunting in 'acerageville'. Nobody is on my side - even though my daughter almost jumped out of her skin the other morning while she was out for her run and heard shots fired close by.
I've started with the RCMP, next I try and find someone in the wildlife/conservation offices...
I need you and Hobbs at my side...maybe I'd get somewhere...55 g Goldfish Tank - 5 Fancies, 2 Dojos
