Very interesting. I wonder how long it would take them to habituate to the sound?

Thats a good question! I hope long enough for them to get fat and lazy not wanting to fight lol
bluebluecow, I read something like that just a couple weeks ago. It was probably the same study as you're talking about. It was with goldfish, and same deal. I came across it because I wanted to make sure the vibrations weren't going to harm them. I never did find out how harmful vibrations were, I just came to the conclusion small ear plugs were at about 1/10th the power of music played in the apt.
But yeah, they are still being so good! Like I said in the beginning, once and a while they will nip at each other. But nothing like it was! It was so bad for a while I was hell bent on getting rid of one for fear they may get really hurt.
So, fingers crossed. We'll see what happens.

Well, its been over a week. GF and I have been recording their behavor on our calender to see if there is a cycle or anything.
They finnaly bit the ear plugs and poped the bag, so the ear plugs are dead lol
But that was on saturday, since then they have been fine! I have my lights back on the timer and they have acting normal! They're eating pellets in the mornings again, they'll nip at each other once in a while. But otherwise, just leave each other alone and swim around.
So I dont know what to think. If they get angry again, I'll try throwing some tunes on for a week and see if it helps again?!
Very happy! Its been stressful until now...
