The invasion has begun
I woke up to find my dogs barking at something.. and lo and behold.. I found a giant African land snail in my yard. This is an invasive species that multiplies like rabbits on speed. They are extremely destructive to plants. I live in central Trinidad and the fact that they have gotten this far inland from their point of introduction is very very bad. I would rather deal with a snail infestation in my tank anyday.

Heheh.. I put it in a jar and dropped it off at the Ministry of Agriculture. They are gonna send someone over to spray my yard for eggs. I have put too much effort into my garden to lose it to a buncha snails. If it comes to that, I've got a 9 iron, and an acre of empty land.

He's kinda cute. You should have kept him and named him Slimey. You could put him on a leash and take him for walks. Or you could have put him in the tank with your 6 foot pleco.
