Lost my male nyete krib
For a few days he had a scuffed appearance around is nose,I thought it was just from rooting around his coco hut, then 2 days ago I saw he seemed to have trouble closing his mouth, last night I found him mostly blind and incoherant.I euthed him in ice water.Bums me out,he was a character and a beautiful fish and he leaves a widow.Might have been popeye.
Just looked it up to confirm it,it was pop eye.First Ive ever ad this happen in a tank. The water checks out and it just had a water change and vac.The rest of the inhabs are fine.Could have been brought on by injury I suppose,he did love to tussle with the acaras.Last edited by smaug; 10-21-2009 at 08:24 PM.
