I personally wouldn't keep any big predator in anything less than a 250, but heh, I don't know much about Arowanas. I would, though, love to see pictures of whatever fish you decide to get once you've bought it! Also; =] Hope someone comes along soon to answer your question!
    A severe lack of trichogaster.

Just because your Gourami is sick does not mean it is always Iridovirus, DGIV, Gourami Disease, et cetera.
Look at all the other factors in your tank before coming to this conclusion.

a single silver may be ok alone in a tank this size, but for the beso results keep larger fish like this in a 250-500 sized tank to keep them happy. personally, i would rather have a big reef tank than just one fish like an arowana

A 125 is fine for a juvie but you need at least 24"x6FT. for a grow out tank or bigger.

Temperment would be same as any asian jardini. You'll want a 24" deep tank also preferably 6ft long, but you might be able to get away with 5ft.
    your friendly neighbourhood arowanaman!
