eBay RCS
I was kinda doubtful about getting Red Cherry Shrimp from eBay but no one was selling on the forums so I thought that I'd go for it. I looked over the ads and decided on one that was offering 25 RCS for $25 shipped. I checked his feed back, which was perfect. He explained his packing and other things, which was really well done, but it was the fact that he'd be taking the shrimp from multiple tanks/genepools that decided it for me.
I got the package today (shipped on Monday from FL) and he packed it incredibly well! Styrofoam lined all walls of the box, soft fluffy stuff for padding, Kordon breather bag with lots of moss and plants for the shrimp to hang on to. The shrimp were as lively as if you'd just netted them from their holding tanks! I got all different sizes and a good ratio of male to female. I ordered 25, got 32, and 1 died in transit. So 31 RCS for $25, I got new genestock, new moss, and a couple new plants! I'd say that I'm pretty damned happy. :) I may get some Super Reds later to beef up the colours but other than that I'm really happy with my RCS tank. :)
If anyone's interested I can send ya the link for the eBay RCS.

That's a decent price. You can usually find similar pricing over on plantedtank.net in the swap n shop section.
In a few months you'll have more shrimp than you know what to do with.

That sounds great! IME, it's kinda iffy when dealing with someone you haven't dealt with before...
The first time I ordered RCS a couple years back, they were packaged exactly how yours were packaged, perfect and awesome...
ordered some a couple months ago on aquabid and don't think I'll ever order from that person again, came with exactly 8 oz of water, 1" peice of sunset hygro and a box about 12x12x12 inches... the bag was maybe 3 inches around and 5 tall, poor things were bouncing around for 2 days in the mail, they all made it except for one, but they've got to have been traumatized
"Mommy, do you picture me as a naked chicken?"

Yeah I checked TPT's SwapNShop area but no one was selling any at this time. I guess I could've looked harder, I'm sure there's stilll someone selling 'em but even though I was reluctant I still sorta wanted to try another source. I'm glad I did, I got some great shrimpies.
I'm a great believer in feedback. I check the good and the bad. In my experience, there's very few bad feedback that's warranted. Most of them, to be honest, sound like idiots for the most part! Complaining about the size of the shrimp and such when it's CLEARLY stated in the ad and stuff of this sort.
I figure that in about three or four months I'll have to start selling off some RCS, hehehehe. The batch I had already were doing amazing with a few berried females and several more with big bright saddles. The tank is heavily planted, has lots of snails, and filtered well so it's a perfect environment for RCS. My orders from Big Al's and Foster and Smith should be in today and tomorrow so their new heaters, nets, and New Life Spectrum foods will be here soon! I'm really curious to see how the NLS effects their colouration.
Anyway, I'm a very happy fish and shimp keeper right now. :)

Woo, nice find. Congrats!
A severe lack of trichogaster.
Just because your Gourami is sick does not mean it is always Iridovirus, DGIV, Gourami Disease, et cetera.
Look at all the other factors in your tank before coming to this conclusion.

This is the seller. http://myworld.ebay.com/osi-iit/
He's not got a current sale of RCS up though. :(
EPICFISH on The Planted Tank is great to deal with. I got my first batch from him and love them.
I'd add pics but my crappy camera got wet with my HOB filter over flowed. :(
