Its normal. Our bubble tip split at the start of summer. It can be a sign of stress too, but if they look healthy and you waters in check then I would say that it was because it felt like it wanted to split, lol. We had to sell our 2nd one Our clowns were pestering it too much and it keep wandering around the tank, which is a sign of stress, so we sold it before they did any damage

as far as I know, they only split in to or perform symbyosis when breeding. Id watch the clown(s) on the smaller one as buffering on a newly developed 'mone can kill it..

its a 4 inch maroon clown can they kill it that big there still doing fine and he still takes care of both of them

  7. Default

since anenomies rebroduce assexually they will split like that. actually, in the right conditions they split more than twice sometimes it (they) should be fine

  8. Default

id say that 1 maroon clown that size os not able to kill an anemone. It if youve got a pair of perculas, ocellaris or a huge maroon like mine (6.5" and still going...)

that there is this danger. Once they properly split and he makes a decision as to which one to go with, then its all good, but I cant see any problem occurring.

Thinking about it, the only problem that you may get is if he chooses the smaller of the two, and hes two small to stand the buffering, then he'll die, but it seems that its not the case, so dont worry.

    Cheers

    Kai
