Beginning the 35g
Hey Im starting some preliminary planning for my 35 galllon and i was wondering some things here first.
Used gravel.... I have some used gravel and i was wondering if i should clean it the same as my tank and filter box. With vinegar.
Its old gravel and has been out of water for years.
Same with the heater, tank and filter.
do i just soak everything in vinegar?

i wouldnt bother with the vinegar on the gravel, wash it really well and if your worried about it pour a few pots full of boiling water over it in a bucket

Soak a peice of paper towel in vinager and spread it out over top of the crusty areas and leave it sit for a while. You will have to scrape it with something.I used steel wool and a razor blade.
I didn't use vinager in my filter I just cleaned all the crusty stuff off with it.Ray
