Cleaning a used filter box
i have my moms old 35g and she had a Penguin330 and a magnum something or other canister filter. im trying to salvage what i can for the 35. the canister is pretty much in peices and i have to get a parts list and find them all, but i have most of the HOB penguin. for cleaning off all the(im assuming) calcium buildup. I was recommended vineager. How would i go about cleaning this stuff efficiently and effectivly? any input would be helpfull

I soak it in vinager and water and than use some steel wool on the build up.
That stuff does scratch so be careful.
Make sure you rinse it well and get all the vinager smell out before using it.Ray
