Which bulbs for MH??
I'm looking at MH retrofit kits and have the option of 15K or 20K. What is the difference between the two types? Is 20K more blue than the other? Which do you prefer? I'm planning on a 2x150watt MH with T5 supplementation built into a canopy for a 40g breeder
40g breeder reef- Two clowns named Cora and Bennie, King the Midas Blenny, Dante the cleaner shrimp, Athena the peppermint shrimp, and a plethora of sps, lps, and softies.
90g fw community- Two Blood parrots named Glub Glub and Dert Da Der, Rex the 7yr old common pleco, and a mish mash of other community fish.

15K is less blue than 20K. If you're gonna have t5's, I would get 10k, with actinic t5's.

14000K is going to give you better growth while the 20000K is going to look a bit more colorful, but doesn't give you much growth. I like the look of 14000K. Someone gave me a 20000K 250watt HQI bulb that I may put in for a day or two just to see the color difference. I'll post some pictures when I do
