sweet potatoes
i fed a piece of sweet potato to my albino bn in my 46 gallon...i stuck a par-boiled piece, mostly raw, to a fork and sunk it, and he has been on it or by it since. as long as it is still looking good, im gonna let him gnaw on it.
however, my water was a little cloudy when i got home. i changed out 20 gallons of water as a precaution, but i am sort of thinking that it was the starchy potato that clouded it...my parameters are fine
anyone ever fed their fish sweet potatoes? did it cloud your water at all?

Although I have never done it, I would absolutely think that the starch from the tater would cloud the water a bit.
If all the other perameters are good, you MUST blame the tater!

My plecos love sweet potato. It didn't cloud my water, but I have alot of gallons. It didn't last very long either. You could try giving smaller portions to avoid the cloudy water maybe?
Thar she blows!!!
