Sitting right at 197 right now. Herniated disc leaves no chance to run and very little physical activity. However, my bench press has gone up.

Diet (as in what you eat) is 2/3 of it. If you're not as active due to injury, you need to cut back on your food intake...and if you have a herniated disk, you want to stay on the lighter side...

Yeah I know. What I meant by posting that was I'm not gaining to much muscle mass Deadlifting and squatting are huge muscle builders and fat burners and I can't do those. I'm limited to basic workouts and such. Diet is good though, just wish I could be running as well as lifting heavy.

Have a 2nd epidural tomorrow, hopefully this one does the trick

I just read that you're walking around pain-free! Congrats. How long does that last?

I'm having some pain issues of my own. Thought I was 'just' stiff from exercising, but I think I'm in a flare-up again...poop...

The first shot only worked for about 4 hours until the numbing medicine wore off. This one though (crossing fingers/knocking on wood) seems to be working MUCH better. The two days prior it was a lot better than it has been so hopefully the shot put it over the edge and brought it to what it used to be. Today same results, no pain even with my backpack loaded with 2 notebooks, my laptop and the charger for it. Last week at this time, a backpack with 1 notebook was killing it.

I hope its finally ''fixed''. Maybe I can lifeguard this summer after all.

Bit of a landmark day today. I had been on a diet and doing ok with it, then went on vacation. Regained almost half what I had lost.

Today, I am officially one pound less than before I went on vacation, lol. Back down to what I was pre-vacation, minus another pound!

Waffling on my goal weight now tho. It's going so well, and my goal weight wasn't all that ambitious. I'm thinking I might drop it by another five pounds.

edit: Questing around on the internet, I found a couple decent sites on healthy weight. Looks like I do have another five pounds to go on top of my original goal. So thats 9 lbs to go.

Congrats! I usually lose weight on holidays...so I'm hoping when we go I'll finally get past this road block I'm on. I want my last 5 lbs gone too...and then see if I should try for another 5. But I think I'll be lucky if I get the first 5 off...my weight hasn't moved (and stayed down) since February, so I think I'm pretty much as low as my body will go without doing anything drastic.

Tips for wight loss are Fruits and vegetables are packed with beneficial fibers, vitamins and antioxidants. They fill up your stomach fast so you feel full earlier. They are also low in calories and helps to keep your calorie count low.Eating small frequent meals help to balance your calorie intake throughout the day and also keeps your blood sugar level balanced.
