    Is that in the 29g?

Sword looks great! It's gonna be a tankbuster though ;) Apparently, some varieties top out at 3 feet leaves? LOL

Tell me. And I grabbed the two today just because it's not often they have good ones. I have 3 in this tank! To be moved soon... don't faint. Heck, I can plant one in the middle of my tank and be done with it. LOL

You can just keep clipping the leaves as they grow too long. It'll get bushier that way. I'm clipping like 2-3 leaves a week from my sword. Now that I've got all the stuff I need in the tank, growth has pretty much exploded.

I have added no fertilizers yet. Figured the fluorite had enough goodies in it to last them for awhile especially with crummy lighting. I ended up ordering the light from Arizona Gardens after all. One light tube, 30 inches and 65 watts for $79. This will give me 25 more watts than I posted you about...the double strip light. I thought I could move the light on my 29 to my 55 but no such luck. It's a 30 inch and the lights on my 55 are 24 inches so had to order one of those, too. :(

    Hey, it's all Abbeys_Mom's fault right? ;)

But yeah, all Flourite does is provide iron, some trace, and hold nutrients for the plants. They don't innately provide any nutrients, which is why they never need to be replaced. Nitrates and phosphates will come from fish waste, and under 2 watts/gallon, you don't really need to dose it, but at your lighting level, it's borderline. Just keep an eye on nitrates and keep an eye on any signs of deficiencies. Dry fertilizer is probably the cheapest thing about a planted tank. A few pounds of the stuff costs about 20 bucks and will last you well over a year. Dosing is also easy provided you do 50% water changes weekly.

Muahahaha, I am slowly converting everyone on this forum to high tech planted tanks ;)

I just restarted planted tanks because chronas on speed dial. I used to only use driftwood, then driftwood and fake plants, then add a few rocks, now its live plants, rocks, and driftwood.
