Would Tetras Eat Shrimp?

A simple question:

I'm planning a 10 gallon planted tank. I am thinking a school of tetras (or similar) and cherry shrimp. Would the tetras eat the shrimp?

What kind of tetras? Any babies will be eaten.

Neons and/or cardinals? I'd say no. But then again, I know nothing on shrimp, so you'd have to ask a shrimp expert as well on this.

I have about 16 ghost shrimp and about the same amount of neon tertas and I've never see either show any interest in the other....YET. lol

I'm not sure about the type of tetra yet. If they wouldn't eat the RCS that might play a role in my decision. I like cardinals...
