Betta tantrums??
I was at the store the other day and picked up a small plastic aquarium and a beautiful blue/red/purple betta. Phillipe is just beautiful. However....Phillipe is here at work, on my desk. He is swimming, flexing his tail fins, looks good, but will not eat. He takes in the Nutrafin Max betta flakes and spits them right out.
What can I get for Phillipe that he will be happy with? I realize that an adjustment period is needed, but I am not happy with the not eating. Any suggestions, ideas, comments will be fratefully appreciated. :?:In ancient Egypt, cats were worshipped as gods; cats have never forgotten this.

Have you asked the attendant were you bought the betta what they eat? Some stores like example Walmart dont feed proper food for the fish but feed example goldfish food or some other type of food. The betta could be fed live foods like earthwarms or other such things [might wana look up] but you might also want to see the type of water, is it soft? Or hard? acidic ?? who knows??? This is my suggestings hope it helps

You could also try frozen food.
