How to: Post images
There are several ways to post images.
1)
If you have the picture you want to post on your computer the easiest way to post an image is to simply attach the image to your post. Here is how to attach a picture:
Press the button manage attachments which is located in the additional options box below the main post box. Below first submit button.
You than simply browse your computer files and choose the file you want to upload. When you found it press the upload button. You should than see the current attachments ox appear with in it. You can now choose to upload another file or if your done press the close this window button.
You can se which file types you are allowed to upload on the manage attachments screen.
It is also possible to attach files already on the internet simply by entering the complete URL (internet address) to the file in the "Upload File from an URL" field and than pressing the upload button next to it.
2.
If the picture you want to post already is hosted somewhere on the web (i.e. photobucket or similar) you can use VB code to post it. Simply type:
I.e. if the complete URL (internet address) for the picture is http://www.url.com/picture.jpg you type:Code:[img]URL to picture[/img]
To post the picture.Code:[img]http://www.url.com/picture.jpg [/img]
3.
You can also use an advanced image insertion VB code which allows you to wrap text around the picture itself. This code is used in much the same way as above but instead of:
You use:Code:[IMG]URL to picture[/IMG]
You will however have to define if you want the image to be left or right aligned as shown below.Code:[xIMG]URL to picture[/ximg]
The difference between the two options is shown below:Code:[ximg=left] or [ximg=right]
Regular image tag:

Andrea, I tried it as well and it wouldn't work for me either. I wish pictures could be loaded from a folder rather than a website.

I don't go thru all that. Can't figure it out myself and too techie for this brain.
Within the forum, if you have a pic on a website, you can just copy and paste right to your post.
In the contests, tho, all pictures must be thumbnail size and those go under the body of the post. You click on Go Advanced and in Manage Attachments you can enter either the url or a picture on your computer.
We do try to keep the pictures under 800 pixels so they don't throw the margins off in the forum.
