I have a 10 and a 30 gallon tank. The 10 gallon has paltry,s and mollusks. The 30 has terra,s and barbs. The problem is with in the last 2 weeks my both tanks have become a little cloudy. I have not over feed them. They get peas or Spanish once a week. Water changes are done every 7 to 10 days and most of the time half tank water changes. Even tried running the water thru a Brittany but to no avail. Also change filters at the proper time not every wAter change same with decorations. Can't someone tell me what I am doing wrong or make any suggestions. Both these tanks were Crystal clear about 2 months ago.

I know those types of filters you are talking about and i wouldn't change the filter cartridges. Yes eventually you will have to cause they tend to fall apart but that takes a while. Plus I never liked the plastic part they say is for biological media, just never looked like it could hold that much BB. Try leaving that cartridge in your filters for a while longer and see if that changes anything. Do you have a test kit and if so what are the exact readings you get from both tanks? ammonia, nitrite, nitrate.
Increasing your biodiversity increases your stability.

You know what this tank needs? ........................ Crypts.
