  1. Default Water color problem

    0 Not allowed!
I have a 10 gallon aquarium but water turns to a yellowish color 2-3 days after water change. I have natural plants and I have fish what could it be the problem? If I use the tetra safestart at this time after changing the water could it help for the bacteria to stablish?

How long has the tank been setup for and running?

Do you test your water quality?

What type of filter are you running?

    Do you have any dirftwood?

We need a little more details to pin point the problem.

First thing i thought of was drift wood leaching color into the water... Since you have live plants are you running any carbon in your filter(s)?

Another thing I thought of is are you using bio cubes and are you using carbon in your filter? I only ask because some people do not use carbon in planted aquariums

Let us know, as the devil is in the details

Carbon is not needed at all, except in certain circumstances to remove medication after treatment.

Answers to the questions in post #3 would be helpful.
