Bad Test Results
OK I just installed a overflow to the sump and added about 5 gallons of water. That was 3 hours ago. I just tested the water and
the Nitrate is at 10
The ntrite is at 0
the ammonia is at 0.25
And the ph is at 8.4
I need some help here I need to bring the nitrate and the ammonia down. HOw can I do this with out stressing the fish out?Things I know about YOU!

It is a 30 gallon tank with a ten Galoon sump
35 lb of live rock
40 lb of live sand
it will be a year old in december
There are 3 fish in it currently 1 maroon clown fish 1 dimond back gobie and 1 domino damcel fish

About all you can do if a few water changes. I'm surprised you are showing ammonia is an almost year old tank with enough live rock. What are you using to test and did you test twice to make sure it wasn't a test error?
29 gallon-planted community
20 long frag tank
75 gal-planted goldfish
75 gallon mixed reef with 20 gallon sump

Me too. Could it be because I removed a filter that was as old as the tank because I had more than enough LR in it?
The bottles says Aquarium Pharmaceuticals and the test tubes say API

I found the dimond back gobie, the dmino damsel and a pepperment shrimp dead.
