    Default Algae good or bad?

    I just started getting this on my rocks, and its turning my sand browish-yellow. The tank is about 3 weeks cycled, is this the good stuff or bad? Or can't tell from bad pics lol.

    Oh, I have 2 40w bulbs, about 19" from substrate and the lights are on 14 hrs.

    72 Gal. bowfront 10 neons, 1 dwarf gourami, 6 yo yos, 2 mystery snails, 5 ghost shrimp, 4 BN's, 3 ottos. (planning for 3 cacs if I can ever make up my mind)

    It looks like brown diatoms. It will clear up on its own. All new tanks get them sooner or later.

    Thats what I was hoping for, thanks. I was starting to wonder if I should get some BN's already lol.
