Short Bodied Fish?
Well I was looking around and came across this video on youtube.
It shows "short bodied Albino Bichirs" if you look closely you can see a painted blood parrot.
I never heard of this before so i searched it in youtube and saw this of short bodied Balas
What do you guys think of these kinds of these fish? Do they cause health hazards?
I don't plan on getting one or anything I was just kind of surprised(and slightly horrified) when i saw it.

I've never seen any around me at any LFS. If it was one or two, I'd say just a genetic thing, but theres to many for that.

I have never heard of a short bodied bala before.
There is no info on them either.
The bodies seem to look short when they get bigger. lol

That kinda horrifies me... breeding for color is one thing and fine in IMO, but this looks like it could be very detrimental to the fishs' overall wellbeing. I saw balloon red eye tetras at a LFS and they just looked wrong. Then again I'm being kind of hippicritical as I'm a huge fan of fantail goldfish.... I dunno.
