Thoughts on my plan?

So I finally got the SO around to my way of thinking and yesterday I was "permitted" to purchase another stand to accomodate the two tanks I had sitting around. So I have a standard 2FT tank (24x12x15) - 65L/18G tank.
I need to get some fish out of my other tank. So I'm thinking I'll put 3 BNs (about4cms at the mo), 3 hockey stick tetras from my other tank. And get some juvie steatocranus casuarius to get a pair.
The BNs I'm growing to go into my african tank. I think they're a bit small at the mo to not end up lunch.
So yeah I'd do white sand, a DIY styro background and rocks.
Any thoughts?

are you going to use a similar method to jaster's for your DIY styro background?

Yep Jaster's my inspiration

My SO works with styro so they have a huge dumpster full of the stuff. In all sizes. So he's gonna bring a stack home and I'm going to do a background and then coat it in quickcrete and colour pigments.
