sky light for reef lighting?
bear with me but could you use sky lights instead of 1000k antinc and MH
sorry that i don't elaborate more I'm just a newbie and can't afford a reef but i want t know =)Death Is A Once In A life Time Experience.

Unless you live in the tropics and have and your whole ceiling is a skylight so it gets 12 hrs of light, I would say no
29 gallon-planted community
20 long frag tank
75 gal-planted goldfish
75 gallon mixed reef with 20 gallon sump

labnjab pretty much got it spot on.
If you can't afford lighting for a reef tank, then don't even start one.55g - 1 oscar and 1 red zebra
30g(planted) - 3 Trilineatus cories, 3 peppered cories, 1 female betta, 2 gold rasboras, and snails.
50g - 4 lethrinops intermedius
46g Hex - 2 black neon tetras, 3 bloodfin tetras, 3 blue tetras, 2 snakeskin gouramis, 3 Agassizi corys, 2 von rio tetras ,and 1 pleco
