Magic eel
Well, I found my eel. After thoroughly shaking my canister outflow, the eel came swimming out and gave me a look like
. I guess they really are tricky creatures. I can't believe it sat in there. I wonder how long it was in there for lol.

Nothing but the tube for the outflow. LOL. Hey if he wants to he can go up there, keep him safe from the bichir. Tricky little dude, and ya hes a baby. The hole is about 1/2 inch to a inch if that lol

That sounds strangely enough like normal behavior. A spiney eel species, right? Peacock eel, zig zag eel, fire eel, etc. If so, then completely normal, but fun to watch when active!

Peacock lol. I just didnt think it would be able to sit in there with the outflow going, its straight up and down pretty much unless it was actually sitting in the filter on the sponges? I wish I could see where it was sitting lol

LOL peacocks are pretty funny about things like that. they just pop in and sit in there for hours on end, only coming out when feeling like it. Although I can't tell you exactly where they sit, they do love climbing up into the filters.
