Anyone not use RO/DI water?
The reason I ask is because I have an RO/DI unit but found that I waste a lot of time and water making the water. I decided to try tap water with Seachem's Prime and have had no issue to date. I do have a fish only tank. According to Seachem's website Prime "Prime® removes chlorine, chloramine and ammonia. Prime® converts ammonia into a safe, non-toxic form that is readily removed by the tank’s biofilter. Prime® may be used during tank cycling to alleviate ammonia/nitrite toxicity. Prime® detoxifies nitrite and nitrate, allowing the biofilter to more efficiently remove them. It will also detoxify any heavy metals found in the tap water at typical concentration levels. Prime® also promotes the production and regeneration of the natural slime coat. Prime® is non-acidic and will not impact pH. Prime® will not overactivate skimmers. Use at start-up and whenever adding or replacing water."
Anyone do anything similar to this?A lot of people attack the sea, I make love to it.

It depends on how clean your tap water is. There is more to bad things in water besides ammonia, chlorine, and chloramine. You need to test the TDS(total dissolve solids) of your tap water. If it is very high, like 20 ppm or more, it would be wise to use RO/DI.
Stock the tank you have, not the tank you plan to have. Always have and use patience.
